Operation People for Peace, Inc.
Art Rocker the National Chairman vows that we will continue to feed the under served, voiceless, underrepresented and have continuation of the 50th Anniversary of the”I Have a Dream Speech” commemorated all over the United States. These are poor black, brown, and white brothers who cannot celebrate in Washington DC, but they too love Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Therefore, Operation People for Peace is now traveling to Ohio, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina and other states where we are being invited in order to reach out to the poor and voiceless people. Operation People for Peace is continuing our charges until we get to Washington DC to announce the challenges that the voiceless are concerned about. We are not the middle classes nor the upper classes; we are the voiceless people that are requesting these United States of America change their direction to save America and our classes of people.
Operation People for Peace, Inc.
Schedule: August 13 -19, 2013
In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s, “I have a Dream Speech,” Operation People for Peace, Inc. (www.operationpeopleforpeace.org), who believe in God and represents , the poor, the voiceless, the under served and underrepresented, and the organizations founder, Art Rocker, is feeding over 10,000 of thousands of families. This organization holds a membership of over 339,000 plus people. Rocker states, “We are giving away large brown bags full of food and I am promising a ‘Chicken in Every Pot . . .’ and a prayer for ‘a car for every household’ or ‘urban transportation’ for families in the Gulf Coast Region.” The Gulf Coast Region includes the state of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. In addition to Rocker’s Operation People for Peace, Inc., other national organizations are joining this commemoration. These organizations include the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC, which was founded by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) chapters of the Gulf Coast Region and the National Congress of Black Women, Inc. chapters of the Gulf Coast and its Chairwoman, Dr. E. Faye Williams. Dr. Williams is also serving as a commissioner for the events and march commemorating King’s Speech in Washington, DC http://officialmlkdream50.com/.
This 50th year anniversary activities in August will highlight the “poor people’s campaign” that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. never had the opportunity to do, due to his untimely death. Therefore, we are having ceremonies in the following cities during the week of August 13 through Aug 19, 2013, which is listed below. We are feeding over 10,000’s of thousands of families in the Gulf Coast Region due to the numerous disastrous that have occurred in this region. Those various disasters include the BP Disaster, the various hurricanes, the victims of health violations, the lack of jobs, the homelessness, and the environmental disasters that have occurred. Furthermore, these people lack the education needed for clean energy alternatives for sustainable communities as well as the lack of technical educational opportunities available for the unskilled workers. Additionally, we are feeding families due to the lack of rehabilitation for poor people who relied on the tourism and the seafood industry. This underrepresented group includes maids, servants, car washers, lawn care workers, boat washers, fishermen, those who cook and sell fish on the side, barbers, part-time janitors, hairstylists, small restaurateurs, small churches, small businesses, babysitters, peddler’s, and many other trades. These groups still lack the additional educational opportunities for rehabilitation in the area of skilled jobs for the now unskilled workers. Finally, this under served community needs more courses in nonviolence and peace.
Operation People for Peace, Inc. and it’s 400 plus churches and numerous affiliates are joining hand- to-hand in feeding over thousands and thousands of families with donations from companies, churches and God. We are inviting the Governors in each state and all political officials in every city to join with this group to distribute large brown bags of food and help provide a “chicken in every pot.” The series of rally’s and donations are in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream Speech.” We are going to have a Commemorating Prayer Service in each city for one hour programs inviting all key leadership of the states and local communities to assist in passing out food to the poor families in their communities who have lost so much. This series of events will help bring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s commemoration to the poor and disenfranchised who are not able to travel to Washington to celebrate him.
